As 2026 approaches, the Lincoln Community Foundation is here to help you make the most of your year-end charitable giving. Please keep the following deadlines in mind to ensure your 2025 gifts are completed on time.
Gifts to Your LCF Fund
Online Gifts through The Portal
Click here to make your year-end gift to any LCF fund.
- Credit Card Gifts
Online credit card contributions must be submitted by 11:59 PM on Wednesday, December 31. - Bank Account Gifts
Online bank account contributions must be received in LCF accounts by Wednesday, December 31. Because these take several days to process, we recommend submitting by Friday, December 19.
Publicly Traded Securities
Stock gifts must be received in one of LCF’s brokerage accounts by the close of markets on December 31. Contact Chip DeBuse or Susan Crotteau at 402-474-2345 with any questions. We recommend initiating your stock transfer at least 10 business days before year-end.
Complex Assets
If you plan to contribute complex assets, including legacy gifts or IRA distributions, please contact Sandi Hansen by December 10 to allow time for review and processing.
Checks
Please make all checks payable to Lincoln Community Foundation and include the fund name in the memo line.
- In-Person Delivery: Must be received by 3:00 PM on Wednesday, December 31.
- Mailed via USPS: Must have a visible postmark dated no later than Wednesday, December 31.
- Sent via UPS or FedEx: Must be received by 3:00 PM on Wednesday, December 31.

Grants from Your LCF Fund to Nonprofits
New grant requests from your Donor Advised Fund can be submitted at any time through The Portal.
If you would like your designated nonprofit to receive a grant by year-end, please submit your request through The Portal or by email no later than noon on Monday, December 22. We will make every effort to process these grants before year-end.
Please note that the timing of the grants does not impact your eligibility for a charitable income-tax deduction.
