Building
The Lincoln Community Foundation building serves as headquarters for a variety of community organizations, including LCF, which owns and manages the building. In 1964, Woods Charitable Fund made a gift of $1.35 million to purchase the land and erect our building at 15th and N Streets. LCF was asked to serve as owner with the understanding that space be leased to nonprofit organizations at “below market” rates. Over a dozen nonprofits call the LCF building home today, and two conference rooms may be used by any local nonprofit free of charge.
Garden
Lincoln Community Foundation Barbara Bartle Garden, located west of the LCF building at 1415 N Street, is a gift to this great community. Lincoln Community Foundation built the garden as a mid-city oasis for everyone to enjoy, offering a scenic respite for relaxation, contemplation and brown-bag lunching.
Garden hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (unless the garden is temporarily closed for a special event or inclement weather). Free wi-fi is available.
The garden may be rented by nonprofit organizations for special occasions. If you are interested, please contact us.
